The upper level ridge of high pressure that has been over the Tampa Bay region will break down and push south Sunday. As a results, Sunday afternoon temperatures will not be quite as high.

As upper-level energy moves in from the northwest, rain chances will continue. The timing will be in the afternoon and evening mainly along sea breeze boundaries. Skies will be partly cloudy to partly sunny.

Scattered showers and storms on Monday late morning into afternoon will move eastward during the day due to a southwest wind. The rain chance is 40 percent on Monday.

Tuesday, there will be a lower rain chance of just 20 percent. The chance will mainly be inland.

A cold front pushes into our area Wednesday and Thursday with chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some areas will see very heavy rain.

It will be windy Wednesday into at least early Thursday. The rain should end on Thursday and clouds will decrease.

The front will actually push through as it weakens. The dew points will move down a bit.

Friday morning lows will be in the mid 60s Tampa Bay to near 60 north. But the drier air heats up quickly, so afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 80s.

The chance for rain will return by Saturday afternoon.
