School bus involved in minor crash
A school bus was involved in a minor crash early Friday.
According to Cedar Hammock Fire Department and a Manatee County School Bus Transportation official, a woman was driving southbound on 26th Avenue West attempting to make a right turn onto 39th Street West before 9 a.m. A bus on its way to pick up students who attend Martha B. King Middle School was stopped eastbound on 39th Street West.
The woman made a wide right turn and swiped the front left of the school bus, according to officials. No injuries were reported and no students were on the bus.
The transportation official said another bus was dispatched to pick up the students.
The Florida Highway Patrol will be investigating the crash.
