Bradenton Beach city commission will hold special meeting Monday to decide Ward 2 seat

The Bradenton Beach city commission will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday to fill the vacant Ward 2 seat, according to an agenda notice on the city’s website.

The city commission plans to nominate, vote on and swear in the new commissioner during the meeting at 6 p.m. at city hall, 107 Gulf Drive N.

A final list of candidates was not available. Marilyn Maro and Anne Leister, who both received two votes from the four-person commission at a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 1, are expected to be candidates. But the city clerk was accepting applications for other candidates.
