Fog rolls in on Anna Maria Island beaches

Typically, going to the beach in December is a Floridian tradition.

But heavy fog rolling in to the Gulf Coast muddled the classic view Thursday.

Manatee County Public Safety tweeted a photo from Coquina Beach with the caption, “Dense fog on Coquina Beach today and all around the Tampa Bay area. Please be safe and swim near a lifeguard.”
