Pedestrian killed in Bradenton accident identified

A pedestrian killed Friday night attempting to cross U.S. Highway 41 has been identified as Adriane M. Bocchino, 37, of Palmetto, the Florida Highyway Patrol reported Monday.

She was attempting to cross the highway at 51st Avenue Drive West about 9:28 p.m., when she walked into the path of a 2005 Ford Explorer, the FHP reported.

The accident was not alcohol-related. The victim’s name was released after next of kin were notified.
