Bradenton’s COVID-19 testing site is moving away from the convention center in 2022
The COVID-19 testing location at the Bradenton Area Convention Center will be relocating in the new year.
Testing will remain at the convention center, 1 Haben Blvd., Palmetto, through Dec. 31, and reopen at the northwest corner of 8th Avenue and 14th Street West in downtown on Jan. 3. .
The site is a joint effort by the Florida Department of Health Manatee County and Manatee County government.
The testing site is being moved at the county’s request, so that construction of the incoming hotel does not interfere with COVID-19 testing.
Testing will remain free, but a government-issued photo is required. Both a rapid and PCR tests will still be offered. Appointments are not required, and it is a walk-up testing site.
The new testing location will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The current location at the Bradenton Area Convention Center will have the following holiday hours:
- Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): Open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Christmas Day (Dec. 25): Closed
- New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31): Open normal hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Jan. 1-2, 2022: Closed
