Boys & Girls Clubs to host free COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Bradenton and Palmetto

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County will be hosting Manatee County Health Department COVID-19 clinics Dec. 21-22.

Vaccines will be available for adults and children 5 and older. Children must have a parent present. Boosters will also be available for adults.

Clinics are planned:

4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the DeSoto Boys & Girls Club, 5236 30th St. W., Bradenton.

3-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at the Palmetto Boys & Girls Club, 1600 10th St. W., Palmetto.

The clinics will be held inside each of the clubs.

The county health department recently announced that its Manatee South Center, 7780 Westmoreland Drive off U.S. 41, now offers free vaccine and booster shots.

Appointments can be made for the Manatee South Center at 941-242-6649. Walk-ins are accepted. The main department of health clinic in Manatee County is at 410 Sixth Avenue East.

Manatee County has had 1,134 COVID-related deaths, the CDC reports.
