7 new COVID-19 cases reported in Manatee School District. Here’s where they were
Another seven people in the Manatee County School District — five students and two employees — have come down with COVID-19. As a result, 92 of their classmates and co-workers who had direct exposure to them are in two-week self-quarantines, the school district said Thursday.
The new cases, as reported on the district’s online dashboard, were at:
- Braden River Middle School: One positive student and 17 exposures.
- Buffalo Creek Middle School: One positive student and six exposures.
- Daughtrey Elementary School: One positive student and 23 exposures.
- Manatee High School: One positive student and 22 exposures.
- Manatee Technical College: One positive employee and three exposures.
- Matzke Support Center: One positive employee and 10 exposures.
- Sugg Middle School: One positive student and 11 exposures.
As of Thursday evening, the district has reported 347 cases and at least 3,751 related exposures since the start of classes on Aug. 17:
● Abel Elementary: 98 exposures, five positive employees and one positive student between reports on Sep. 8, Sep. 15, Oct. 15, Nov. 19, Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
● Anna Maria Elementary: five people exposed to one positive student, Nov. 5.
● Ballard Elementary: 29 exposures, one positive student and one positive employee between reports on Aug. 18 and Aug. 31.
● Bashaw Elementary: 37 people quarantined after exposure to three students between reports on Sept. 9. and Dec. 7.
