On masks, Manatee commissioners ‘are putting politics above safety’ | Letter to the editor
Our county commissioners are placing not insulting the president and our governor by enacting an ordinance requiring masks over the safety of our citizens.
I listened to all their individual comments. Each takes the position that if you voluntarily have a mask on you are 100% protected from those around you without a mask coughing and sneezing. If that is true why did the county commission prohibit a citizen from entering the county library without a mask? Also, every medical facility will not permit entry without a mask.
It is clearly obvious that our commissioners are putting politics above safety. Good riddance.
