New walk-up COVID-19 testing site coming to Bradenton

A new walk-up testing site is scheduled to open at noon on Tuesday in the parking lot of Home Depot, 2350 Cortez Road, Bradenton.

The site is a partnership between the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Quest Diagnostics and Home Depot, and is one of three like it around the state.

After Tuesday, the testing site will operate seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be able to process 100 tests per day, according to FDEM.

Testing is free and available to those over 18 years of age, with or without symptoms. Results will be provided within five to seven days of testing.

The Home Depot testing sites, as well as three others that have opened at Publix locations around Florida, are part of a pilot program that may be expanded, according to FDEM.

Free testing also remains available seven days a week at a walk up site at Lincoln Park 501 17th St. E., Palmetto, and a drive-thru site at The Mall at University Town Center, 140 University Town Center Dr.ive, Sarasota.
