Manatee County has 13 new coronavirus cases as Florida adds another 879

Thirteen new cases of coronavirus were reported in Manatee County on Monday by the Florida Department of Health.

Statewide there were 879 new cases reported.

Manatee County now has 988 people who have tested positive for the coronavirus. The statewide tally now stands at 51,746.

Across the state, 15 more deaths because of COVID-19, the disease caused the novel coronavirus, were reported in Brevard, Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade, Duval, Lee, Monroe and St. Lucie counties.

Manatee County’s death toll stands at 91, with more than 60 percent of those deaths residents or workers at skilled nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Hillsborough County now has 1,939 total cases. The death toll remains 72 in Hillsborough, with almost 60 percent of those deaths residents or staff at nursing homes or ALFs.

Pinellas County now has 1,187 total cases. The death toll remains at 75, with more than 70 percent of those deaths being residents or staff at nursing homes and ALFs.
