COVID-19 claims lives of two more people in Manatee County. State death toll rises by 46

Two more deaths because of COVID-19 in Manatee County were reported on Friday, as part of the latest data released by the Florida Department of Health.

The death toll in Manatee County now stands at 90.

Across the state, a total of 46 new deaths have been reported, as the state death toll rose to 2,190.

Thirteen new cases of people testing positive for the coronavirus were also reported. Those new positive cases were among 209 new tests results released.

Manatee County’s tally of positive cases is now 946, while the state has 49,451.
