COVID-19 claims two more lives in Manatee County. State death toll rises to 2,096

Two more Manatee County residents have died from COVID-19, according to the latest data released Wednesday by the Florida Department of Health.

The local death toll now stands at 84.

Statewide, there were 27 new deaths reported. The state death toll now stands at 2,096.

Manatee County also had five new confirmed cases of people who have tested positive for the virus, adding to the tally of 893 total cases.

Across the state, there were 527 news cases confirmed, taking the state’s official tally to 47,471.
