These eight Manatee County nursing homes have had residents or staff with COVID-19
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered the Florida Department of Health to release the names for Florida nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other long-term care centers where residents or staff have fallen ill because of COVID-19.
The list released Saturday evening included the names of 302 facilities and the counties where they are located but nothing else, such as the number of people who have contracted COVID-19 at the facilities and how many have died.
Eight of the centers are in Manatee County.
A separate health department report does detail that as of Sunday morning, 112 people who are residents or staff at a long-term care facilities in Manatee County have contracted COVID-19. Thirteen of those people — the fourth-most among Florida’s 67 counties -- have died.
In all, 407 people in Manatee County had tested positive as of Sunday morning.
The eight Manatee County centers on the list released Saturday are:
- Braden River Rehabilitation Center, 2010 Manatee Ave. E., Bradenton.
- Bradenton Health Care, 6305 Cortez Road W., Bradenton.
- Brookdale Bradenton Gardens, 5612 26th St. W., Bradenton.
- Casa Mora Rehabilitation And Extended Care, 1902 59th St. W., Bradenton.
- Manatee Springs Rehabilitation And Nursing Center, 5627 Ninth St. E., Bradenton.
- Residence At Bay Vue, 105 15th St. E., Bradenton.
- Riviera Palms Rehabilitation Center, 926 Haben Blvd., Palmetto.
- Westminster Point Pleasant Manatee, 1533 Fourth Ave. W., Bradenton.
