Disney to lay off 145 employees from Parks and Resorts division, company says
Walt Disney’s Parks and Resorts division will be cutting about 145 jobs, the company announced this week.
The company says it does not expect the layoffs to affect guests, as the jobs being cut are not customer-facing and will come from “several back-of-house operations.”
The jobs cut are part of a restructuring to realign with future needs and priorities, the company said.
“While difficult, these restructuring job reductions represent a very small percentage of our global workforce," Disney said in a statement.
Disney said it is helping impacted employees find other jobs.
