Crate & Barrel to host job fair for Mall at University Town Center store

UNIVERSITY PARK -- Crate & Barrel will host a job fair to fill seasonal positions at its new Mall at University Town Center store.

The company is looking to hire seasonal sales and merchandising associates from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday at Hampton Inn and Suites, 8565 Cooper Creek Blvd. Applicants should download an application from Crate & Barrel's website, at crateandbarrelcareers.silkroad.com/crate/Home/How_To_Apply.html and complete it before coming to the job fair.

The store is also hiring for all positions, which are posted at crateandbarrelcareers.silkroad.com, said Vicki Lang, spokeswoman for Crate & Barrel.

Also, CareerSource Suncoast has launched its new portal at careersourcesuncoast.com/utcjobs.php that links to application and job information for the new mall.

The Herald was the first to report in July about the creation of the jobs site and the challenges the agency has in finding the openings. The mall is expected to create 2,000 full- and part-time jobs.

The site lists openings so far at Ann Taylor, Dillard's, Janie & Jack, Loft, Gymboree, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma.

Employers at the mall must visit employflorida.com to register for openings to appear on the CareerSource website. Employers should list University Town Center Drive as the location of the work site address to get the dedicated website.
