Port Manatee debuts video promoting assets, location
PORT MANATEE -- A new promotional video cataloging Port Manatee's assets, its proximity to the Panama Canal and its potential for future growth makes its debut this week.
Just a few months after Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport unveiled its newest promo video feature, the port will begin using its new video this week to build awareness with potential clients and another source of visual and audio information on its recently retooled website.
The 3 1/2-minute video will get its initial public screening Tuesday at the Manatee County Board of Commissioners meeting in Bradenton. The video will be presented shortly after the meeting's 9 a.m. start time.
Produced and paid for by the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation, the video is one in a series the EDC is making to spotlight targeted industry sectors.
Sharon Hillstrom, the EDC's president and CEO, said the video is a project that was worth funding because the port brings unique attention to Manatee County.
The EDC has already produced two videos related to the area's sports training industry. Typically, the videos cost about $25,000 each to produce.
