Bradenton dump truck driver cited after colliding into motorcyclist
MANATEE -- A Bradenton man was cited after crashing a dump truck into a motorcycle Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Puwanai Bauer, 21, was cited for careless driving after a crash that occurred at 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. 301 and 26th Avenue East. FHP troopers said Bauer was in an Isuzu dump truck traveling northbound on U.S. 301 in the left lane approaching 9th Street East, behind a 23-year-old Bradenton motorcyclist.
According to the report, the motorcyclist was stopped for traffic ahead when Bauer collided with its back end. FHP troopers said the motorcyclist was transported to Blake Medical Center with critical injuries.
U.S. 301 has been cleared following the crash.
