Body found near Siesta Key shoreline identified as Sarasota man

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has identifed the body that washed ashore on a Sarasota beach Thursday as Douglas G. Swimm.

The 45-year-old Sarasota man's body was found about 2:30 p.m. Thursday along the shoreline between Casey Key and Siesta Key with no identification, according to the news release.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident and have not released any additional information on Swimm.
