Military special forces 'para-commandos' to perform during Manatee game

The U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration Team, known as the Para-Commandos, are scheduled to perform a free fall parachute demonstration during the Manatee High School football game against Don Bosco Prep from Ramsey, N.J., taking place at Manatee High School at 6 p.m. Friday.

The team is comprised of active duty military or Department of Defense civilians assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.

Most are combat veterans with Special Operations background, including service with either the U.S. Army Green Berets or Rangers; U.S. Navy SEALs or Air Force special forces.
