Gold Coast Eagle collecting supplies for Haiti

Parish Twinning’s Program of the Americas will accept donations for the victims of the catastrophic earthquake that occurred in the country of Haiti on Jan. 12.

Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, 7051 Wireless Court, Lakewood Ranch. Gold Coast Eagle will warehouse the items and then truck them to Venice to be loaded on an Agape Flight directly to Haiti.

Parish Twinning’s suggests the following donations: medical supplies such as suturing supplies, analgesics, antiseptics, bandages, and gauze. Baby food, baby formula, powered milk, and non-perishable food items are also encouraged. Perishable food items and clothing will not be accepted. For more information on supplies being accepted or the Parish Twinning’s organization, call Beatriz at (941) 879-6789.
