Second arrest made in Palmetto homicide

MANATEE -- A second arrest has been made in the Oct. 1 shooting death of Patricia White, 43, of Palmetto, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reported this morning.

Bryan Yarn, 21, of Bradenton, was arrested on warrants last night for murder and armed burglary and is being held without bond at the Manatee County Jail. Bryan Yarn’s brother, Lamont Yarn, was charged with murder and armed burglary on Oct. 2.

The fatal shooting took place in the 3900 block of 3rd Avenue Drive East, Palmetto.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a male and female dead and another male, Lamont Yarn, suffering from a gunshot wound. Dead were Patricia White and her son, Clarence J. White, 22. Clarence White died from a self inflicted gunshot wound after his mother was shot, investigators said.

Detectives believe a third person entered the residence with the Yarn brothers while a fourth person may have remained outside. The investigation continues.
