A third family with ties to professional football has bought a penthouse in a prime beachfront condominium building with just six condominium units in Palm Beach.

Financier Daniel Tisch, whose extended billionaire family co-owns the New York Giants, is behind a trust that paid $12.5 million for Penthouse E 4A in the four-story Leverett House, a deed recorded at the tail end of June shows.

On the west side of the building, the penthouse was sold as a concrete shell with its interiors stripped to the studs, according to people familiar with the property at 110 Sunset Ave.

Tisch and his wife, Bonnie, join Leverett House owners Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots; and JoAnn Rooney, the widow of John Rooney, who was an owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and whose late father, Arthur "Art" Rooney Sr., founded the team.

The four-bedroom penthouse that just changed hands was sold by a limited liability company, 110 Sunset LLC, managed by attorney Gary S. Lachman, the deed recorded June 29 shows. His parents were the late Roslyn Lachman and the late Milton Lachman. Roslyn Lachman bought the Leverett House condo in 1993 to share with her husband, a real estate broker. She died May 14, about six months after the death of Milton Lachman last Nov. 17.

The penthouse is one of two on the fourth floor of the building, the easternmost of the two mid-rises that comprise the Leverett House. Developed in 1982, the buildings are immediately north of The Breakers.

The penthouse shares a wall with Kraft's direct-beachfront unit, which spans the width of the building.

Because of the way the Leverett House was designed, the condo that just sold offers views of the ocean.

The condo has 4,609 square feet of living space, inside and on its balconies. Based on that measurement and the recorded price, the penthouse sold for $2,712 per square foot.

With floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, the apartment has private elevator access and was sold with a poolside cabana renovated by the Lachmans, along with two parking spaces in the garage.

Victoria Brewer and Gary Pohrer of Serhant were the listing agents. They priced the condo at $15.75 million when they listed it in April, the multiple listing service shows. At the tail end of 2025, the penthouse had been listed with another agency for $18.5 million, according to the MLS.

The late Milton Lachman owned an eponymous real estate brokerage in West Palm Beach. He also was a former president of the Leverett House Condominium Association.

Agent Jack Rooney of Douglas Elliman Real Estate handled the buyers' side of the sale. He is the grandson of JoAnn Rooney and her late husband.

The real estate agents involved in the transaction declined to comment for this story, and their clients could not immediately be reached.

With extensive Wall Street experience, Daniel Tisch is managing member of TowerView LLC, one of the Tisch family's investment funds. He also served as general partner of TowerView's predecessor, Mentor Partners. The Daniel R. Tisch Family Foundation is named for him.

Members of the extended Tisch family control Loews Corp., of which Lowes Hotels and Co. is part. The extended family also owns a 50% stake in the New York Giants.

The Leverett House is not the only Palm Beach owned by a member of the Tisch family. Jonathan Tisch - Daniel Tisch's cousin - is co-chairman of Loews Corp. and with his wife, Lizzie, has a lakefront penthouse in the Il Lugano building.

Another family member, Laurie Tisch, reportedly owns a condominium in a building near the one her cousin Daniel just bought in the Leverett House.

When Kraft paid $23.75 million for his penthouse, No. E 4B, in late 2022, the deal set a record for the most expensive condo ever sold in town. The sale price reflected the rarity, size, condition and location of the condo, real estate observers said at the time.

JoAnn Rooney and her late husband paid a recorded $4.5 million for their condo, No E. 2A in the Leverett House in 2011.

The Rooney family has deep ties to Palm Beach, where several family members have homes.

A number of other owners of professional football teams have homes in Palm Beach, including Jeff Lurie of the Philadelphia Eagles, Stephen Ross of the Miami Dolphins, Robert "Woody" Johnson of the New York Jets and Avram "Avie" Glazer of the Tampa Buccaneers.

Other sizable condo sales

The Leverett House penthouse is among three other Palm Beach condo sales that hit at least $11.5 million since the beginning of May.

The largest of those transactions was the off-market sale of the Alba Suite, a two-story apartment at the lakefront Palm Beach Biltmore that sold in June for a recorded $22 million. The sellers at the Biltmore were Amanda and Curtis Polk, the business manager of basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. The Polks sold the condo to investments advisor Charles J. Moore, who already owned an apartment in the building.

The other two sizable sales took place at 2 N. Breakers Row. A Wyoming limited liability company named Remiel LLC sold No. N-PH 4 and a cabana on Beakers Row for a recorded $12.7 million to a Delaware entity named Sunshine Partners LLC, via a deed recorded May 12. In that deal, Jack Elkins of William Raveis South Florida was the listing agent and negotiated opposite agents Brooke Murphy and Kyle Blackmon of Compass Florida.

The other sale at 2 N. Breakers Row recorded at $11.5 million for a double unit, No. S-22/23, and a cabana, which were sold by the estate of the late Carol R. Feinberg. Buyer Roberta Weiner, whose husband is Boston real estate developer, acted as as trustee of a trust, according to the the deed recorded May 1 for the Breakers Row sale. In that sale, Broker Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate acted for the seller, with Corcoran Group agents Paulette Koch and Dana Koch handling the buyer's side.
