Curtis J. Polk, business manager and financial advisor to basketball great Michael Jordan, has sold for $22 million the two-story Alba Suite at the historic Palm Beach Biltmore condominium building.

One of Palm Beach's most distinctive condo units, the Alba Suite sold in the most expensive condo transaction ever recorded in the lakefront building at 150 Bradley Place, property records show.

The off-market sale also nipped at the heels of the sale-price record for the most expensive condo deal in Palm Beach, a 2022 transaction when New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft paid a recorded $23.75 million for an oceanfront condo in the Leverett House.

Polk was joined by his wife, Amanda, on the Biltmore deed recorded June 29. He had the condo homesteaded as his primary residence in the latest Palm Beach County tax rolls.

Polk had paid a recorded $5.4 million for the Alba Suite - also known as condo 115 - in May 2018.

The buyer in the recently closed private sale was investments advisor Charles J. Moore, who already owns a condominium - known as Tower North - in the building.

Moore founded and is president of Chicago-based 1st & Main Growth Partners and provides "strategic support" to The Banc Funds Co., according to the company's website.

Polk reportedly manages Jordan's financial affairs and related companies through Jump Management, Jordan's family and business office.

Polk was a minority owner of the Charlotte HornetsNBA team in North Carolina when Jordan was the majority owner and chairman of Hornets Sports & Entertainment. Jordan sold the team in August 2023 after 13 years of ownership.

The condo that just sold has 6,378 total square feet on the building's first and second floors. The sale price works out to $3,449 per square foot.

On the southeast corner of the landmarked structure, the apartment dates to 1926 when the building opened as The Alba Hotel, named for Spain's duke and duchess of Alba. The Alba Suite was considered the hotel's best room when it opened and remained intact when the hotel changed names and was ultimately converted into condominiums in the late 1970s.

The Alba Suite features a private elevator and an expansive living room with a 20-foot beamed ceiling, according to previous sales listings. Those listings described the master suite, four guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a grand staircase, a formal dining room and a well-equipped kitchen.

The apartment changed hands with a poolside cabana, the deed shows. When Polk bought the property in 2018, three garage parking spaces and two on-site storage units also changed hands.

Polk and Moore could not immediately be reached for comment.

The Palm Beach Daily News was unable to confirm if any real estate agents were involved in the sale.

In the 2018 transaction, the listing agent was Shirley Wyner of The Fite Group, which today is William Raveis South Florida. Agent Madison Collum of One Sotheby's International Realty acted on Polk's behalf in the 2018 transaction. Both agents said they were not involved in the most recent sale.

Polk bought the condo in May 2018 from the estate of the late Leandro Rizzuto Sr., the billionaire founder and chairman of Conair Corp.

Polk has worked for Jordan, a former Chicago Bulls champion, for years and was previously executive vice president of SFX Sports and president of its related financial services affiliate SFX Financial Advisory Management Enterprises.

Polk also has managed the financial affairs of other sports stars during his career.

In 2013, Jordan married Yvette Pietro at The Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach. The basketball Hall of Famer has a home in Jupiter, where he is a partner at 1000 North, a private club and restaurant. His other business ventures include the Cincoro Tequila brand and 23XI Racing, a NASCAR auto-racing organization.

The town's most expensive condo sale closed in late December 2022, when Kraft bought his Leverett House penthouse, No. E4B, and a cabana at 110 Sunset Ave. That four-bedroom, direct-beachfront condo - with 6,376 square feet - was sold by trusts linked to the late Mark Daniel Wolf and his late mother, Joyce "Joy" Wolf. The listing agents at the Leverett House were Paulette Koch and Dana Koch of the Corcoran Group. They negotiated opposite broker Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate, who represented Kraft's interests.
