Cardinal Mooney's bid for a road upset in the Class 3A regional playoffs fell just short.

Fort Pierce John Carroll Catholic got a three-yard touchdown run from Justin Fink with 42 seconds left to secure a dramatic 26-23 win over the Cougars.

Cardinal Mooney (2-9) took the lead with just under four minutes remaining on Ryan Blechta's 40-yard TD pass from Tristan Hillerich, who also scored on a QB-keeper earlier in the fourth quarter.
