Bradenton Christian clubs Southeast
A.J. Schewe was 5 for 5 with a home run, a double and six RBIs to lead Bradenton Christian over Southeast 13-3 in six innings on Monday.
In an offensive bonanza for the Panthers (6-16), Rob Arakel and Jake Lister each had 2 hits and 3 runs scored.
Lister also was the winning pitcher, going three innings, giving up a hit and a run, and striking out six.
Their next game is 7 p.m. Friday at Sarasota Christian.
BRADEN RIVER 7, PALMETTO 0 -- Tyler Dyson was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBIs as Braden River (17-6) beat Palmetto.
Dyson, who has not given up a run all season, also was the winning pitcher, going seven innings, walking two and striking out seven.
Other offensive stars for the Pirates were Cole Pencosky, who was 2 for 3 with a triple, and scored two runs, and Hunter Thomas, who was 1 for 2 with two RBIs.
Their next game is Tuesday against Manatee.
College baseball
Florida Southwestern 3, SCF 0 -- State College of Florida fell to Florida Southwestern on Monday. SCF's next game is Wednesday at St. Petersburg.
