Bradenton Christian looking for new girls soccer coach
BRADENTON -- The Bradenton Christian girls soccer program tallied some historical firsts this past winter.
The Panthers advanced to the first district championship game in program history, which meant a state tournament playoff berth for the first time, too.
Now they'll move forward without longtime head coach Butch Morley.
Athletic director Allan Gerber said Morley stepped down to focus on his ministry and family via a text message.
"This was planned before the start of the past season," Gerber said. "We are hoping to find a qualified teacher/coach."
Morley brought girls soccer to BCS about 12 years ago.
To be considered as a candidate, applicants must have a strong Christian testimony and soccer coaching expertise. There are also teaching positions available for qualified applicants.
A letter of interest, resume and written Christian testimony can be emailed to Gerber at agerber@bcspanthers.org.
