Dexter Hodo Jr. tallied 125 rushing yards in his first start at tailback, leading the Pirates to an unbeaten season heading into the playoffs.

The Hurricanes waxed the Seminoles in the annual rivalry game to prep for their Class 8A-Region 2 quarterfinal at home this week.

Palmetto limped to the finish line this year with three straight losses, but saw their potential future with Jason Spicer under center.

5. (5) Lakewood Ranch, 3-7, 10

Senior RB J.T. Fischer ran for 175 yards on 24 carries as the Mustangs closed out their season with two straight victories.

The Bruins ended their year by beating a playoff-bound team, something most programs can't claim.

After Dallas' Triple A forfeited rather than travel to Bradenton Friday, IMG will wait and see if it can find a bowl opponent.

2. (2) Saint Stephen's, 9-1, 40

With the first two playoff wins in school history in the books, the Falcons compete for a Sunshine State Atheltic Conference title Friday, trying to avenge a 14-point loss to Lakeland Santa Fe Catholic from earlier this year.

This week: vs. Lakeland Santa Fe Catholic, 7 p.m., in Oviedo

3. (3) Cardinal Mooney, 2-8, 30

The Cougars enter the postseason with only two wins and neither against a playoff team.

This week: at Fort Pierce John Carroll, 7:30 p.m.

4. (4) Bradenton Christian, 3-7, 20

Limited to 14 players, the Panthers had to forfeit their season finale against St. Petersburg Admiral Farragut.

5. (5) Out-of-Door Academy, 3-7, 10

Out-of-Door finished the season win and freshman quarterback Anthony Squitieri finished for 1,261 passing yards in seven games.
