Prep Football Power Poll Week 10
Editor's note: Programs are ranked based on how they are performing against their own schedules, not based on hypothetical head-to-head matchups.
Voting points breakdown: 10 for first, 8 for second, 6 for third, 4 for fourth, 2 for fifth, 1 for sixth.
(Last week, school, record, points with first-place votes in parentheses)
Public schools
1. (1) Braden River, 8-0, 50 points (5)
The Pirates defensive and offensive lines were too much to handle for either Venice or Palmetto, so it's back-to-back district titles and a home opener for the first round of the playoffs.
This week: at Sarasota, 7:30 p.m.
2. (2) Manatee, 6-2, 40
Tarique Milton's 10 catch game yielded three touchdowns and the Hurricanes coasted to a fourth straight running clock en route to a sixth successive district title season.
This week: vs. Lithia Newsome, 7:30 p.m.
3. (3) Palmetto, 6-2, 30
A disappointing performance in a big game has the Tigers in this situation: beat Venice or miss the playoffs for the first time in head coach Dave Marino's six-year tenure.
This week: at Venice, 7:30 p.m.
4. (4) Southeast, 4-4, 20
A gigantic victory at Hardee sets the Seminoles up for a chance at the district title this week or in a possible tiebreaker on Monday. The Seminoles earned Manatee County's third victory in Wauchula since 2012, usually a place that is unfriendly to visiting teams.
This week: at Sarasota Booker, 7:30 p.m.
5. (5) Lakewood Ranch, 1-7, 10
The Mustangs have a winnable game this week at woeful North Port. That could generate some positive momentum moving forward during a down year at Ranch.
This week: at North Port, 7:30 p.m.
6. (6) Bayshore, 1-7, 5
The Bruins can be a key player in the Class 5A-District 11 race, but as a spoiler. A victory over Lemon Bay could pave the way for rival Southeast to punch a postseason ticket as district champs.
This week: at Englewood Lemon Bay, 7:30 p.m.

Private
1. (1) IMG Academy, 7-0, 50 (5)
IMG completed a sweep of the New Jersey portion of its schedule against Paramus Catholic, but Shea Patterson threw his third and fourth interceptions of the season.
This week: at Eastern Christian (Md.), 6:30 p.m. (Saturday)
2. (2) Saint Stephen's, 6-1, 40
After taking second place in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference's Coral Bay division, the Falcons go on the road to start the SSAC playoffs.
This week: at Lecanto Seven Rivers, 7 p.m.
3. (3) Cardinal Mooney, 2-6, 30
The Cougars only two wins are in district play and they go for a Class 3A-Distrit 5 title against rival Clearwater Central Catholic.
This week: at Clearwater Central Catholic, 7 p.m.
4. (4) Bradenton Christian, 2-6, 20
The Panthers gave up 49 more points Friday in a loss to Tampa Cambridge Christian. BCS is allowing an average of 52.8 points in its last six games.
This week: vs. Fort Myers Canterbury, 7:30 p.m.
5. (5) Out-of-Door Academy, 2-6, 10
Out-of-Door closes out the season with a pair of winnable games against Seffner Christian and Fort Myers Canterbury.
