Uncertainity clouds the Pirates as possible suspensions await for the post-game fight following a 35-point thrashing in North Port of the Bobcats.

Lorenz Allen's 141-yard rushing game bolstered the Hurricanes' second straight district blowout, a 52-17 win at previous unbeaten Lutz Steinbrenner.

Calling it the most complete game this season, head coach Dave Marino's group goes into a bye week sitting pretty in Class 7A-District 11 with a 2-0 record.

Seminoles RB Kevin Johnson ran for 195 yards in a 28-3 blowout of Arcadia DeSoto, and he leads the county with 672 rushing yards to power a 2-0 district start.

5. (5) Lakewood Ranch, 1-5, 11
A porous defense that allowed 332 total yards and 30 points in the second quarter, coupled with two punts blocked by Palmetto led to a 44-14 blowout to the Tigers, and a slim chance to make the playoffs at this rate.

A last second field goal lifted the Bruins from the winless ranks, and confidence ahead of a road game against North Port, which could miss key players depending on the ongoing investigation's result surrounding the post-game fight with Braden River.

Shea Patterson's interception-less streak ended Friday when he threw a pair of picks against New Jersey's St. Joseph Regional, which has one of the best defenses in the country.

The Sunshine State Athletic Conference Coral Bay division could be decided Friday in Lakeland when the Falcons face fellow unbeaten Santa Fe Catholic.

3. (3) Bradenton Christian, 2-3, 32
Dominick Otteni has been streaky all year and delivered a gem in a 55-40 win against rival Out-of-Door. The quarterback threw for four touchdowns and ran for two more.

4. (4) Cardinal Mooney, 1-4, 28
The Cougars entered Friday with only one rushing touchdown, but found the end zone on the ground five times during a 48-29 win against Clearwater Calvary Chistian. Quarterback Tristan Hillerich scored twice and running back Jaz Mongeon ran for three.

5. (5) Out-of-Door Academy, 1-3, 12
The Thunder was on the losing end of Friday's 55-40 shootout win Bradenton Christian. Backup Anthony Squitieri was forced into action at quarterback and threw for more than 300 yards and four touchdowns.
