Roser Church opens busy week with tour, closes with Golfing for God
ANNA MARIA ISLAND -- Roser Church, 512 Pine Ave., has four events planned within eight days.
It all begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Just Older Youth field trip to Desoto National Monument on 75th Street West in Bradenton. Roser Senior Fellowship usually from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.
Participants can meet at Roser at 11 a.m. to car pool or at the DeSoto National Memorial Visitor's Center at 11:30 a.m. for a ranger-led tour on paved paths that are wheelchair accessible. BYO picnic.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, junior and senior high students are invited to join together in fellowship to learning about God in Classroom D in the Sunday school room.
Roser-Robics -- Get Fit While You Sit -- will be held at 11 a.m. every Thursday in the Roser Church Fellowship Hall. A variety of aerobic exercises will help increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance -- all in the seated position. This chair-based exercise class is appropriate for older adults and those looking to lessen the impact on their joints. All ages and skill levels are welcomed, as variations will be shown. Bring two soup cans of equal size and weight to be used as weights and equipment for class activities. Cans will be donated to the Food Pantry at the end of each class taught by Melissa Merkle, co-founder of Boomers N Motion Health Coaching.

The busy week closes with the nine-hole Golfing for God scramble at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, followed by a 4:15 p.m. clinic and 6:15 p.m. buffet dinner and Bible study at Bradenton Country Club, 4646 Ninth Ave W., Bradenton. For all levels of golfers but proper golf attire required.
Tickets range from $25 to $45. Bring a check payable to Bradenton Country Club.
