Tim Tebow coming to Manatee to speak at Bayside Community Church services

EAST MANATEE -- Tim Tebow, former quarterback for the University of Florida and most recently for the Philadelphia Eagles, will speak at Bayside Community Church services the first weekend in March.

Bayside Community Church announced on its Facebook page Monday that Tebow would speak at normal weekend services at the church at 15800 State Road 64 East in Bradenton at 5 p.m. on March 5 at 5 p.m. and at 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on March 6.

"We're excited to welcome Tim Tebow to Bayside," a post on the Facebook page reads. "No ticket needed but plan to arrive early. We expect a packed house at all of our campuses."

Tebow, who has received attention for his public displays of Christianity both on and off the field, also spoke at Bayside in May 2015 for an Evening of Hope, which raised about $70,000 for the Salvation Army.
