MANATEE -- A two-day community women's conference named "A Destiny Call" will start at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 27.

The conference promotes an intimate-love relationship with Christ showing women what that intimacy looks like in their everyday lives.

The conference will be at Pathway Christian Fellowship Center, 329 Sixth Ave. W., Bradenton.

The goal of the conference is to equip each woman with a desire to develop an intimate-love relationship with Christ by developing a Christ-centered life.

The conference is run by Deborah Leaner Ministries, which was licensed by Pastor John Jenkins Sr. of First Baptist Church of Glenarden in December 2010.

Leaner was born and raised in Palmetto, where she attended Palmetto High School. After high school, Leaner completed different degrees in higher education and now lives in Maryland.

Always a Floridian at heart, Leaner makes numerous trips to Palmetto to spend time with her family. The program has blossomed from a home-study group into one of the largest independent women's ministries in the Greater Washington, D.C., metro area.

Registration: $40 on eventbrite or call 941-479-2619.
