Union for Reform Judaism Biennial draws local clergy, worshippers
Temple Emanu-El's delegation to the 2015 Union for Reform Judaism Biennial -- an international Jewish convention attended in Orlando by 5,000 Jews from synagogues in the United States, Israel, Canada, Australia, England, France, Russia, Hong Kong, China, and more -- returned to Sarasota recently after an important and meaningful time.
"Our delegation -- the largest in the area -- participated in workshops and programs featuring prominent scholars, authors, politicians, musicians, and even movie star Michael Douglas," said Rabbi Elaine Rose Glickman in a news release. "We also debated and voted on resolutions regarding current issues in North America and Israel. It was an amazing experience."
