Women's Conference coming to Community Outreach World of Deliverance Church
BRADENTON -- Ministers, counselors and educators are coming to the annual Women's Conference at Community Outreach World of Deliverance Church, 650 27th St. E., Oct. 8-10.
The conference reaches out to women and families experience challenges in life by spotlighting several agencies that provide assistance.
"We are extending an invitation to all residents in Manatee County, to be part of this wonderful conference. This is a family church and everyone is welcome. God will provide a powerful message of deliverance," said community outreach Bishop Dexter McDonald.
Barbara DeSue is keynote speaker and Pastor Sheila Jonson will deliver a message of empowerment.
The Woman Center, Jobs Etc., MTC, Women for Change and Salvation Army will be present at the conference.
"We can provide assistance in housing, education, food and jobs at this conference," said McDonald. "We will have counselors that will talk to families and women in need. We will have a structure to identify problems and deliver help to those in need."
The event will start at 7 p.m. Oct. 8-9 and conclude with the Young Women Conference from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10.
In the church's women's ministry, they are "passionate about building esteem and character, and connecting with women," Says the pastor.
McDonald is a local physical therapist who also works the muscles of the spirit leading Outreach Ministry Church.
Students receive tutoring Thursdays. At 6 p.m. Tuesday, the church provides job opportunities to those in need with McDonald leading "100 men for change" and a growing Bible study ministry at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The regular service is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
