Bradenton church to introduce new pastor

BRADENTON -- Rev. Dino Rustin will be introduced as new lead pastor at the 9:30 a.m. contemporary and 11 a.m. traditional service at First Presbyterian Church-Bradenton.

Rustin has been serving full-time in ministry since 1999 and was ordained in 2009.

He completed his master of divinity degree at Azusa Pacific University and Fuller Theological Seminary where he is completing his doctorate.

The California native served as a staff member at La Jolla Presbyterian Church in California, then the past five years as associate pastor of John Knox Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Okla.

He is married to Monetta Rustin, a licensed professional counselor, and has two daughters.

He was chosen Sept. 14 by the Pastoral Nominating Committee following a nine-month candidate search, according to a release by Chairman Dave Flanders, Communications Ministry, First Presbyterian Church-Bradenton.

Bradenton native will lead Temple Emanu-El youth

BRADENTON -- Beth Vandroff, a woman with strong roots in the Bradenton community, has been hired as the new youth group director at Temple Emanu-El. overseeing all programming for students in grades 4 through 10.

Temple Emanu-El has the largest student population among all Sarasota-Bradenton synagogues.
