Abandoned Puppies Had Almost Given Up Hope-Until One Stranger Changed Everything
Alone, frightened, and struggling to survive, two abandoned puppies in Miami seemed to be running out of hope until they spotted TikToker @notjorescues, who stopped to help them. The dog rescuer regularly searches for dumped and neglected dogs in need of help, and this time, she found two tiny puppies left to fend for themselves.
The second the first puppy realized she had stopped and was trying to coax them over to her, the little dog decided to take a chance on the stranger. Before long, the second puppy appeared, too. But the sweetest part of the entire video is the moment the two pups seem to realize their lives are about to change, because they turn and hug each other like they know they're finally safe.

As of this writing, it's been about a week, and sadly, there hasn't been an update on the dogs. But we're hoping they find the forever homes that they deserve!

Why Abandoned Puppies Often Struggle to Survive Alone
It's always heartbreaking to hear about dogs being abandoned by the very people who were supposed to care for them, especially when there are so many safer alternatives available. Surrendering animals to a shelter or rescue, or even working to find them homes through fostering or adoption, gives them a chance to survive and be properly cared for.
Abandoning puppies is even worse because they simply don't have the survival skills needed to care for themselves. Without the warmth, nourishment, and protection their mothers normally provide, puppies often struggle to find food, water, and shelter. Their immature immune systems also leave them highly vulnerable to dehydration, hypothermia, viruses, and disease.
According to Four Paws International, abandoned dogs can also become road hazards because frightened animals may run into traffic or wander into unsafe situations as they try to survive. Fear and hunger can also cause stray dogs to bark, act defensively, or even bite if they feel threatened.
