SCF baseball beats South Florida State
AVON PARK -- Ryan Miller's three-run double capped a big night at the plate for the State College of Florida in junior college baseball Friday night.
The Manatees beat South Florida State College 9-4 for their first Sunshine Conference victory.
In addition to Miller's double, which padded the lead, Jose Lopez went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs.
Tyler Romanik went 3 for 5 and Keshawn Lynch finished 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs.
Ryan Ahern earned the victory with 5 1/3 in relief. He allowed one run on two hits. He struck out six.
SCF (16-9, 1-2) returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday at home against Southwest Florida State College.
