Bradenton police: Marijuana, handgun found in car stopped for missing tag light

BRADENTON -- Two people were arrested after 1:25 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

A police officer stopped a vehicle with no tag light in the 600 block of Ninth Street East, Bradenton, and reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

A search turned up 37.6 grams of packaged marijuana and a .45-caliber handgun in the vehicle. Two unnamed people were arrested, police reported.
