Sahib Shriners Circus returns to Sarasota

There's no shortage of opportunities to see circus acts in the Bradenton-Sarasota area. Discriminating circus fans still look forward to the annual Sahib Shriners Circus.

This will be the 34th staging of the circus. It's scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Sailor Circus Arena in Sarasota. There are two performances Saturday.

The Sahib Shriners Circus offers the traditional kind of circus acts that a lot of us grew up with world class aerialists, acrobats, clowns and ringmasters.

It's always a popular event, and because there are only three performances, the circus advises people to get tickets as soon as possible. (It's open seating, so even if you buy tickets late, you can get great seats by arriving to the circus early.

The normal price for a child's ticket is $10, but if you go to sahibshrine.org, you can print a coupon for a free child's ticket. You exchange the coupon for the ticket when you purchase an adult ticket.
