Man charged with stealing pink Hello Kitty bag, other items from Bradenton home

MANATEE -- A 21-year-old man has been charged with breaking into a home and stealing a pink Hello Kitty bag, a laptop, several watches and wallets, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Dinzel B. Gabriel was arrested at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday and charged with burglary and trespass to an occupied residence.

Deputies said a 28-year-old woman noticed her Bradenton home had been broken into and suspected the suspect ran out the back door as she came home.

According to the sheriff's office, a pink Hello Kitty bag, laptop, several watches and several wallets were missing. Several sheriff's office units saturated the area and found Gabriel holding a pink Hello Kitty bag in the 6000 block of 9th Street East, Bradenton. He was arrested after a short pursuit.

Deputies said the Hello Kitty bag, laptop and watches were recovered. Gabriel was also wearing one of the victim's stolen watches.

Booking information for Gabriel was not immediately available on the sheriff's office website.
