Second victim in Bradenton double homicide identified

MANATEE -- The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has identified the second victim in the double homicide discovered by deputies Tuesday morning.

Mauricio Maldonado Conde, 55, was found dead along with his roommate, Adrian Velasquez Baca, 43, in their duplex in the 600 block of 61st Avenue Terrace East.

Autopsies were performed Wednesday.

“At this time, the cause of death will not be released,” a media release said.

Residents told investigators the two men hadn’t been seen since Saturday night.

Neighbors also told the sheriff’s office they heard gunshots during the weekend.
