Irene persuades Shaw to postpone football scrimmage

Concerns about Hurricane Irene have led Shaw University to postpone its football team's annual scrimmage.

Originally scheduled to scrimmage Saturday at 10 a.m., the CIAA defending champions will now scrimmage at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Durham County Memorial Stadium.
