Shining moment: When Assistant Principal Carl Auckerman announced that the seniors are ready to receive their diplomas, the hall erupted in cheers.

Best quote: “Mommy, I just want to let you know that I love you and your angel with the broken wings is flying,” Shanequa Bernard, senior class president, said at the end of her speech.

Interesting sight: To ensure students’ good health, Palmetto High Activities Director and Testing Coordinator Monica DeLesline squirted hand sanitizer on each senior’s hands who went up stage to get their diplomas.
