‘Banana’ Republicans want to live under a Trump dictatorship | Letter to the editor
Banana Republican Rep. Devin Nunes informs Trump that Director of National Intelligence (DNI) informed Congress of details of ongoing Russian interference in 2020 presidential elections. Trump fires the DNI director to further obfuscate their Constitutional oversight powers. Banana Republican congressmen cheer him on. Putin’s puppet president sends his personal lawyer to Ukraine to farm the latest Russian conspiracy theories to deceive the ignorant Trump supporters that have chosen to live in the FOX disinformation universe.
Attorney General Barr, deep in this conspiracy, makes the Justice Department subservient to this corrupt president, who intimidates judges and jurors and champions those who threaten witnesses and lie to Congress, like Roger Stone, to protect Trump.
If you are a Republican, ask yourself: Do you want a president/dictator that he can willfully punish his enemies and free his criminal supporters? A puppet Senate? Do you want the Republican party to welcome foreign interference in our elections in exchange for weakening our international alliances? While Trump lies he is making America great? Do you want to be a part of a party that actively seeks to suppress voting rights of the poor by purging voter roles and creating barriers to accessibility? This is today’s Republican Party.
If you are such a Republican, then you are a Banana Republican. You are against the principles that were established by our Constitution. You have no moral compass. You have no integrity. You want to live in a dictatorship where Trump distributes Putin’s disinformation to his blind loyalists, like you. He has no interest in the welfare of the American people. He is bankrupting the US and subverting our relationship with allies. Making America great?
