Culver's to add fifth Sarasota-Bradenton location on Cattlemen Road

SARASOTA -- Culver's restaurants, famous for their Butterburgers and thick, frozen custard will add a fifth location to the Bradenton-Sarasota area.

On Nov. 12, plans were filed with Sarasota County to build a 4,300 square-foot building with a drive thru. The restaurant on Cattlemen Road will have indoor and outdoor seating, according to the documents.

Culver's opened two restaurants in Bradenton in the past year, at 3515 Cortez Rd. W. and 5750 Ranch Lake Boulevard. Sarasota has two other Culver's locations at 2605 University Parkway and 7250 Tamiami Trail.

The first Culver's opened in July 1984 in Wisconsin. There are more than 500 Culver's restaurants in 22 states.
