New Anna Maria Island hot dog stand serves colorful coneys. Take a look
“I’m gonna keep on dancing at the Pink Pony Club,” goes the chorus of Chappell Roan’s hit single.
But the “Pink Pony Club” song wasn’t the direct inspiration for Anna Maria Island’s new hot dog eatery, the Pink Coney Club, located at 5306 Holmes Blvd., Suite 810, in Holmes Beach.
“We played off the name, (but) we weren’t anything about the song,” Desiree McCullough said. “But, of course, the song’s popular.”
McCullough and her husband, Steven, co-own the Pink Coney Club, which doubles as a mixology studio offering social cocktail-making classes on select nights.
The McCulloughs launched the mixology studio, the Gulf Coast Bartender Co., in February 2025. Their new hot dog stand recently opened in the same 390-square-foot space, which offers eight bar seats and some tables outside.
“We were getting inspired from living in New Jersey … we (were) on the boardwalks all the time, getting hot dogs, french fries, stuff like that,” Desiree said.

The menu features crafted coneys or a create-your-own option.
The Pink Coney Dog, Nauti Dog and create-your-own dog have been popular so far.
The Pink Coney Dog has spicy brown mustard, melted white cheddar cheese, chili, diced raw onions and a corn chip shaker. The Nauti Dog has mayo, sriracha, melted white cheddar cheese, diced raw onion, pickled jalapeno and a Hot Cheetos shaker.
“(The shaker) is your crunch … if you want to add something unique onto your hot dog,” Desiree said.
Steven added: “It’s the croutons to our salad.”
Each hot dog comes with a bag of chips, and the shop offers a 15% discount to Anna Maria Island residents, first responders, city or county workers and veterans.
“We want to give you something and you can get that all the time,” Desiree said.
What else is on the menu?
Crafted coneys cost $11.99, while the create-your-own option starts at $6.99. Toppings and shakers cost $1.50 each. The first two condiments are free, with each additional one costing $0.50.
Some toppings available include chili with no beans, sauerkraut, melted white cheddar cheese, sweet relish, coleslaw and more.
The restaurant exclusively serves Nathan’s hot dogs and Martin’s potato rolls.
“It’s a quarter-pound dog,” Desiree said. “It’s a big dog, it’s longer than the bun. We’re using Martin’s potato rolls. They’re fresh delivered every day. … So we’re really particular about how soft your buns are and how your dog is. We’re oven cooking them, so they’re salty and crispy and good. We’re making them to order.”
The Pink Coney Club is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Mixology classes are typically at 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
