KFC gives Bradenton the ‘Saucy!’ treatment with new restaurant opening soon

The local chicken wars have a new participant.

According to a news release, fast-food restaurant Saucy! by KFC opens Monday at 5484 Lena Road in Bradenton.

The restaurant features chicken tenders, sauces, chicken sandwiches, desserts and beverages.

The opening is part of KFC’s expansion of the new concept, which already has four locations in the Tampa Bay area. However, the Bradenton location will be its first for Manatee County.

KFC parent company Yum! Brands Inc., launched the Saucy! concept in Orlando with 11 different sauces, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

The Lena Road location is off State Road 70 near Interstate 75. The grand opening is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Monday.

There are giveaways planned and complimentary bites, according to the news release.

The Bradenton location will also have two new menu items: the Big Sammie, comprised of two chicken tenders with greens, hashbrown straws and choice of Saucy! sauce wedged in a King’s Hawaiian roll; and Saucy! x DRIPS by Pepsi, a collection of four mood-inspired drinks.
