Burger joint with celebrity founders adds fresh dining option at SRQ
Travelers arriving and departing Sarasota Bradenton International Airport have a new dining option.
Wahlburgers recently opened in SRQ’s Concourse B, located next to Starbucks between Gates B6 and B8.
Celebrity brothers Mark, Donnie and executive chef Paul Wahlberg founded the restaurant in 2011 in Massachusetts. Starting in 2014, it became the focal point of an A&E reality TV show, “Wahlburgers,” that lasted 10 seasons.
“Welcoming Wahlburgers to SRQ reflects our commitment to elevating the travel experience while bringing nationally recognized brands to our region,” SRQ president and CEO Paul Hoback said in a news release.
What’s on the menu at Wahlburgers?
The restaurant’s menu stars a variety of burgers. They include The Our Burger, a classic cheeseburger topped with signature Wahl sauce, the O.F.D. (Originally from “Dorchestah” Burger) with mushrooms, bacon, tomato jam and Swiss, and the BBQ Bacon Burger.
The menu also features chicken dishes like the Crispy Chicken Ranch sandwich, plus vegetarian and breakfast options.
There are also beer, wine and cocktail offerings.
According to a news release, the restaurant uses 100% certified angus beef, house-made condiments and have additional signature items such as The Super Melt, crispy bone-in wings, meatball hoagie and salted caramel shake.
SRQ welcomes Wahlburgers
“This opening marks an exciting milestone in our strategic Florida expansion, joining our Home Depot partnership in Rockledge, Stuart and Vero Beach, with even more locations planned throughout Florida in 2026,” Wahlburgers CEO Randy Sharpe said in a news release. “We’re proud to bring our signature flavors to such a vibrant destination. Sarasota Bradenton’s strong sense of community and distinct personality align perfectly with the Wahlburgers brand.”
SSP America, which is an airport food and beverage operator, partnered with Wahlburgers to bring the restaurant to SRQ.
“Wahlburgers combines the comfort of a neighborhood burger joint with a fun, celebrity-driven atmosphere,” SSP America vice president of business development Jen Juul said in a news release. “The brand aligns beautifully with the spirit of SRQ and the growth happening across the airport. As a member of the SRQ community, our purpose is to be the best part of the journey, and welcoming Wahlburgers into our SRQ portfolio helps us create the memorable dining moments travelers crave.”
