Is a new Olive Garden coming to Manatee County? Here’s what we know

Olive Garden is bringing its signature endless breadsticks, salads and soups to Ellenton.

The Darden Restaurants brand signed a lease for a restaurant at 5710 20th St. E., a company spokesperson said.

It’s planned to the west of Ruby Tuesday’s near Interstate 75 and U.S. 301, according to building records filed with Manatee County Development Services.

A company spokesperson told the Bradenton Herald they are working through “the necessary approvals (and) we do not have an opening timeframe yet.”

Olive Garden plans second Manatee County restaurant

Once built and opened, it will mark the second Olive Garden in Manatee County. The original location is at 4420 14th St. W. in Bradenton.

Olive Garden was founded in 1982 and has more than 900 locations globally, according to company history.

The average company-owned United States location is 7,700 square feet with 250 seats, according to Darden.

In addition to the endless items, Olive Garden’s menu also boasts Italian classics such as chicken parmigiana, fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, five-cheese ziti al forno, cheese ravioli and more.

The chain has a create-your-own pasta menu option and offers appetizers, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, desserts and catering services.
